Omicron Chapter is Excited to Host the 2018 Grand Council

We would like to invite you to Grand Council 2018 hosted by the OTS Omicron Chapter at Michigan State University. This is the chapter's first time hosting, so come on up and over and be a part! Grand Council plans are underway.

General Info

Michigan State University is located in East Lansing, Michigan. Grand Council is set to begin on Friday, October 12th, and to end on Sunday, October 14th. As far as getting there, the Lansing airport is a 20-minute Uber ride to the Marriott Hotel. Other airports (Grand Rapids or Detroit) are about 1–1.5 hours driving.

Facebook Event

Our Facebook event page will help everyone stay up to date with all information. You will be able to find links for our registration Google doc, as well as our medical release form. The page will be updated regularly, so stay tuned!

All attendees are required to fill out this form.

The deadline to register is 9/28! This is very important because it allows us to make sure all welcome gifts and T-shirts are ready.

Medical Release Forms

Forms should be downloaded from our website, printed, filled out by each attendee, and mailed in. It is preferred that all release forms from your chapter be sent together in one envelope. You can also find the forms on the Facebook page.

Payment for Grand Council

Cost of attendance is $75 per person ($55 for MSU attendees). Payment can be completed one of two ways:

  • Payment by check: mail to Collin Stapleton-Reinhold at 1715 maple ridge apt 8 Haslett, MI 48840. Please include name and chapter in the memo part of the check!
  • Pay by venmo: @OTSomicron. Please state your name and chapter in the subject line!

Hotels

We have currently blocked off two hotels in the East Lansing area.

Marriott East Lansing We strongly encourage everyone to stay at this hotel!

  • Cost is $160/ night for a 4-person room (2 queens)
  • Address: 300 M.A.C. Avenue East Lansing, MI 48823
  • Parking is free on campus after 6PM on Friday for the weekend. There is a parking garage on Grand River Ave that is a 5-minute walk from the Marriott.
  • Deadline to sign up for the group rate is 9/14.

Quality Inn University

  • Cost is $110/night
  • Address: 3121 E Grand River Ave, Lansing, MI, 48912
  • PLEASE NOTE: Transportation to the Gonzo Olympics will not be provided from this hotel. It is a short Uber ride to the East Lansing bar crawl. You can park at the parking garage on Grand River Ave. and walk to the Marriott if you would like the transportation to the Gonzo Olympics.
  • Deadline to sign up for group rate is 9/14.

You should be able to sign up for the hotel block via the registration Google doc. Please note that the deadline to register for the hotel block is before the deadline to register for Grand Council.
